Join the Fit City Challenge
The Fit City Challenge is a community-based initiative to encourage and empower participants to increase their levels of physical activity and fruit and vegetable consumption. Fit City provides employers with tools and guidance in implementing incentive programs to give employees rewards for successful attainment of fitness goals. (Learn more)

So, you're not an earlier riser and your evenings are just too hectic. Try breaking up your work day with a little exercise. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Facilities offer several programs during Lunchtime. Find one close to your worksite.



Start a Company Sports Team
Getting to know your coworkers outside the office, having fun together and improving your fitness will benefit your company’s productivity and morale! Whatever your fitness level, you can find a sports team that is right for you. There are many different options in Mecklenburg County, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3! (Learn more)

Encourage Biking to Work
Charlotte's Bicycle Commuter Mentor Program (BCMP) is a group of cycling enthusiasts who want to help other Charlotteans try out cycling to work. Whether it's every day, once a week, or just on the prettiest days – if you've ever thought, "Why don't I ride to work?" we want to help you make it happen!



Take the Bus or Ride the Lynx to Work
As our city continues to grow the need for alternative transportation grows as well. Encourage employees to Take the Bus or Ride the Lynx to work.
