The largest department in the county with very little budget they were able to find creative ways to incentivize their employees and utilized local resources to improve employee health.

Eat Right in the Workplace:

• Offered healthy snacks in the outdoor food cart. 
• Working with the LiveWell program to offer weight loss classes to employees, has been very well attended.

Fitness at Work:

• Over 100 DSS employees have earned vacation time by participating in the Fit City Challenge incentive program.

Building a Healthier Worksite:

• Added Park and Recreation and Greenway brochures to their client waiting area.
• Held a Health Fair with Fit City as a participant.
